Manse, Ayrshire

The house was formerly a manse and has substantial grounds that contain meadows, lawns, an orchard, a productive garden and a field with sheep, chickens, ducks etc. Duncan created an ornamental garden at the front of the house where he planted a large area of perennials with a few small trees (Cornus Kousa & Prunus x yedoensis). This ornamental planting links the front of the house to the productive garden via a network of winding paths.
